Our Elders
Meet our elders
Rohan du Heaume
Elder (Chairman)
Rohan is married to Mary and they have three children and five grandchildren. His vision as an elder is to support the staff in ministering to the congregation and taking the gospel into the wider community.

David Skirving
Elder (Senior Pastor)
David grew up around the corner from the church but married a Sydney girl and moved over east. He worked as a medical doctor for a number of years before realising he just wanted to tell people about Jesus all day – so he became a pastor with a fire in his belly for evangelism. David did a two year internship at St Matthias church before studying for four years at Moore Theological College. He returned to Perth and worked as a pastor at Dalkeith church for seven years before joining the team at Subi Church. He is married to the beautiful Mya and they have three children: Saasha, Sophie and Justin.

Wayne Luce
Elder (Secretary)
Wayne has been attending Subi Church for almost 30 years. He is married to Lynda and they have two adult daughters. Wayne works in IT for the WA State government in Health Support Services. He has served in kids ministry for over 20 years. He has also been heavily involved with Scripture Union’s Jurien Bay Beach Mission for 20 years.

Ric Leaver
Elder (Treasurer)
Richard (Ric) grew up in the hills of Perth and attended sporadically, the local Catholic Church. He came to understand the saving work of Jesus later in his adult life. While travelling through New Zealand he met his future wife Gail and they were married in 1971. They have four adult children and are also blessed to have 11 grandchildren. Ric and Gail have been attending Subi Church for well over 20 years. Ric is retired but has held senior executive positions in aged care services, a private hospital, two Australian-based overseas-focused mission organisations and an independent church school. Ric is passionate for the future of the Subi Church and its outreach, that it blesses others as it has blessed him and Gail through the Word and fellowship.

Grant Korn
Elder
Grant is married to Catherine and they have three adult children. Grant was a high school teacher for 13 years, specialising in French language, history and accounting. He also completed a Master of Arts in Biblical Counselling at Colorado Christian University and worked as a part time school counsellor for two years. He was head of the humanities department for six years. He was a board member of the Baptist Schools Association in WA, establishing a network of new schools in the 1990s and early 2000s. He then moved into the business world in 2006 and has owned and operated businesses in food manufacturing and property maintenance. Since 2018 Grant has volunteered at Wandana to provide monthly community meals and ongoing friendship to the residents. Having now sold his businesses, he has more time to be involved in church ministries.

Michael Keong
Elder
Michael has held financial and management roles in the private and public sector and recently in Catholic education. He was born again in 2001 and has been worshipping at Subi Church for 14 years. He is married to Florence and they have two young adult children. He holds a Masters in Theological Studies with studies undertaken with the AOG and Catholic seminaries.
