Subi Youth

Youth Ministry

The Subi Youth ministry is for high schoolers in Years 7-12. We believe we’re better together and best with Him. Life as a high-schooler isn’t always easy – we’re all trying to figure out who we are and who God is – so why not do it together and have a lot of fun along the way? All of our leaders are committed to showing you the same love that Jesus showed us. We are here to know you, laugh with you, pray for you and win against you in our youth vs. leaders games nights.

Subi Youth friday Nights

Every Friday night during the school term at church 7pm-9.15pm, you’re invited to join us as we learn about who God is, and deepen our relationship with him and with each other.  These nights come in different shapes and sizes, so we may also plan something offsite (with your parents’ permission of course!). Have a look at the term flyer below to see what is happening this term at Subi Youth.

weekend growth group

At the regular weekend church services (Saturday 5pm, Sunday 9am, Sunday 10:45am) we offer a fortnightly Bible study for youth aged Year 7-9 during the service. The aim of Growth Group is to scaffold the youth’s Bible comprehension skills between Subi Kids and the regular church sermons. This program is a hands-on Bible teaching aimed to grow the youth’s knowledge of the Bible so that they are ready to understand a full length sermon every week when they reach Year 10.

SUBI YOUTH CAMP

Every January we like to kick off the year with an awesome, fun-filled weekend camp. All youth in years 7-12 (along with any friends they want to invite!) are encouraged to join. The next Subi Youth camp will be on 22-25 January 2027 at Woodman Point Recreation Camp. Money should never be the reason why a willing youth is unable to join the camp, so we have financial assistance available for any families that need it. The camp consists of fun games, planned activities, Bible talks and discussion groups, and an all-around awesome weekend!

SUBI YOUTH TEAM

Subi Youth is run by the Youth Pastor Carson Johnston. All youth leaders hold a WWCC and have completed a Safe Ministry Check and Safe Ministry training course. Each year group of youth are assigned one or two youth leaders to disciple them in a small group setting every week. All youth leaders are committed to providing a safe and fun environment for youth to grow in faith, friendship, and spiritual maturity.

Visiting or coming to youth for the first time

If you would like to check out the Friday Night youth program, or are planning for your child to become a regular attendee, please accompany your child inside the building for their first night at youth. We have a registration and parental consent form that must be filled out by a guardian before your child can take part in the program, and we would also love to meet you before we take over duty of care for your child. If you have any questions before your first visit, please see the contact details below for the Youth Pastor Carson Johnston.
